Documents and files

The Library holds several content formats. Choose the format for the work you need to do and check its supported controls before relying on a round trip to another application.

Text and Markdown

Create a document in the Library or upload UTF-8 text or Markdown. Use headings to divide the content, lists for instructions, and links for source references. The editor supports a rendered writing view and raw Markdown where offered.

Use document links such as [[Launch Plan]] to connect related workspace knowledge. Links and backlinks help people and agents find the supporting material. Choose a distinctive title when several documents cover similar subjects.

Word documents

Upload .docx files and inspect the document in the reader. Review the available editing, download, and proposal controls for that document. Returned Word files with tracked changes use the redline review workflow.

Inspect layout, tables, comments, and non-text elements before sending an exported or returned file. Do not assume that uploading and editing a document rewrites the original file on your computer.

Spreadsheets

Create a spreadsheet or upload Excel .xlsx, CSV, or TSV. Use the table view to inspect the rows and values. When requesting agent changes, name the sheet, columns, or cells and explain the required calculation or transformation.

Drag the right edge of a column header to change the width of that column. Double-click the edge to fit the column to its content. With the keyboard, move focus to a column header, then press Shift and an arrow key. Click a column header, or press Enter on it, to open a menu that can fit the columns or reset all widths. Point to a cut-off value to read the full value. Tables inside a text document resize the same way, and their cells continue to wrap. Column widths are a view setting for you in this browser. They do not change the document, they do not create a proposal, and other people do not see them.

In a CSV or TSV table, you can comment on a row. In the editable table, open the row menu at the start of the row and select Comment on this row. In a read-only table view, such as an earlier version, select the comment control at the start of the row. Write the comment below the row. The comment applies to the complete row, not to one cell. A row that has comments shows a comment marker at the start of the row. Select the marker to open the discussion. You can start a new comment on a row after its earlier discussion is resolved. Save or discard unsaved table edits first. The comment options are not available while the table has unsaved changes.

Review spreadsheet changes at the cell level where the proposal viewer offers it. Check formulas, totals, and formats before using the result. A Library spreadsheet is not a live remote control for an Excel workbook already open on your computer. Verify any required workbook features and exported results in Excel.

For an agent edit, name the exact range and what must stay unchanged. Replace the sheet name and cell references in this example with yours.

Example spreadsheet change request
Read the Sales sheet in this spreadsheet. Propose formulas for D2:D20 that multiply Units in column B by Unit price in column C. Do not change the input cells or other sheets. Flag blank or non-numeric inputs for review. Explain the formulas before I accept the proposal.

Images

Upload PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF images, up to 3 MB each. A Library image can be reused in a document through Insert image. Choose the image and version, then add alt text that explains the image’s purpose to readers who cannot see it.

An inserted Library image can reference a specific version. Updating the image does not mean every older version reference changes. Check image access when sharing a document.

Versions and changes

History records earlier versions and the changes that produced them. Open an older version when you need to check a previous fact or review decision. Return to the current document before requesting a new edit. A proposal prepared from an earlier version may need revision if the document has changed.

Download and export

Use the download or export action available for the current format. Check the downloaded file before using it outside ArtifactBridge. Downloading a copy does not keep it synchronized with later Library updates or publish it to the source provider.

Unsupported or rejected files

The upload picker lists supported formats. PDF is not currently listed. Convert unsupported input into a supported format and inspect the result. For text encoding errors, export the file as UTF-8. For size errors, reduce the file size or split the material into meaningful documents. Do not repeatedly retry the same rejected file unchanged.
